Why Free Therapy?

Because no one should have to struggle alone and because services should be easily accessible and affordable. We all deserve to have and maintain a good life, especially in the midst of hardships.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had unprecedented, widespread impacts on households across America. Many people and families are experiencing pandemic-related hardships that impact their mental well-being and are trying to cope on their own. But it doesn’t have to be done alone. The Good Life for All Project is here to help.

Any one of these things – but especially a combination of them – massively increases personal and familial stress. What to Expect?

If you are new to therapy, you might be wondering what to expect when meeting with your counselor for the first time. Here are some tips to give you an idea of what to expect.

Therapists aren’t there to tell you what to do or tell the people in your life about their rights and wrongs. Instead, your therapist will help you turn your focus on what you can and can’t change. They’ll help you focus on yourself, your choices, and your responses to events. Therapists are great sounding boards and can provide resources when needed. But their main goal is to help you learn how to better help yourself.
